Financial Support
Unfortunately, there is not usually any direct funding for diagnostic assessments in schools, colleges or other settings; generally, assessments have to be paid for by the person, parent, or employer. As dyslexia and dyscalculia are not medical conditions, a diagnostic assessment is not covered by the NHS.
From time to time, and subject to available funding, the British Dyslexia Association can offer bursaries to individuals to support them with the cost of accessing diagnostic assessments.
